Greenland 's Mackerel fishery started in earnest. The total catch quota of 2018 is about 66000 MT as it was in 2017. Royal Greenland's catch quota is approximately 10000 MT. Mackerel fishing at Royal Greenland takes place from July to August at the time of increasing fat. We catch it on our own ship, and immediately cool and freeze it in the ship.
It is quickly carried into the factory where the processing begin, to keep the great flavor and it's freshness.
